Sophie Hard

Sophie is from Northern California and grew up painfully shy, that even asking a question in class would turn her face bright red. After college, she moved to Los Angeles and signed up for an improv class to make new friends. After completing the program at Second City in 2015, she continued her training in the professional conservatory at Impro Theatre, where she performed improvised genres ranging from rom-coms and Tennessee Williams to ghost stories and Jane Austen. She currently directs and performs with Jane Austen Improv, winner of a B. Iden Payne Award for Best New Improv Troupe in Austin. You can also find her teaching improv and performing in Hideout Theatre’s mainstage show, Big Bash, or Bah, Humbug!. Outside of theater, Sophie spends just as much time (and money) two-stepping, sewing Regency-era costumes, and generally following joy wherever it leads her.
